About Board Members Appointments

Members of the boards of registration are appointed by the Governor and serve on a voluntary basis. Board members serve for a fixed term of three to five years and some may be limited in the number of terms they may serve. While a majority of board members are licensed in the profession they regulate, most boards have at least one member of the general public who is not affiliated with the regulated profession.
